In this episode of Bullet Heaven we take a look at a shooting game that was so stealthily released on the Game Boy Color in 2000, almost nobody has even heard of it.

REVIEW CRIMZON CLOVER
AAAAAAAAAAA

January 18, 2011 | Unregistered Commenterfgsfds

I'm looking into Crimzon Clover as a possible candidate for Bullet Heaven, depending on how much it is and how I'll be able to record the footage on PC. I follow strict Piracy Free guidelines, so unless it's freeware, I need to pay for it, which is hard since I'm only making minimum wage.

I don't know what you are talking about. I LOVE that ending right there. "Great Job!" with a super thumbs up. It's AWESOME!

It's about USD 30 from rancor on Shmups Forum. Here's a link to his site:

HAHAHAHAHAHA its always awesome getting reviews even after 10 years.
I wanted to make a different shmup from the usual 1-hit-death style that originated from quarter-eating arcades.
why should the enemies be the only ones able to withstand multiple hits?
why should the player be the only one taking damage on collisions?
(yes, you can actually finish off a boss by ramming into it)

we intentionally went for a very bland ending, the game was made on a shoe-string budget so we wanted to concentrate our effort (and budget) on the game play itself and after playing so many shmups over the years we were all thinking "enemies invade, you shoot them all, you win, yay! now let's go shoot some more" so we went for a "yeah, whatever" ending, my apologies to those who play shmups for the story line :)
