e’re nearing Press Pause Radio’s four year anniversary, yeah…we somehow have gotten away with doing what we do for four fucking years! Believe us when we say that we wouldn’t have traded it for the world, nor do we have any intention of stopping either! Therefore, while we’re doing more with video and other extracurricular content for PPR, we’re getting LTTPG back on course. Life through the Pixel Glass will press on (you missed it right?) and is here now to deliver some more cool shit around the web for y’all to enjoy. 

Bioshock Infinite still has people talking and well, we can’t blame them—one person however isn’t content with just talking about it, she went a step further. Stefanie Stormblood of Stormblood Curiosities recently constructed on commission, two of the vigor bottles that contain the Bioshock powers of tempest waves and black-feathered demons have been recreated and for the right price, can be yours too. Stormblood has already sold the bottles, but has acknowledged the popularity of her work, and is open to commissions. The expert crafting doesn’t stop there, Jayrod2 of YouTube AKA The Custom NES Guy is an individual who doesn’t get enough attention for his amazing work. The name may suggest otherwise but Mr. Jayrod2 specializes in painting and/or modifying any console, portable, PC, or laptop; he’ll even do controllers and accessories or carts even. The work speaks for itself just from the videos and photos found within his network, if you ever considered personalizing your favorite gaming rig then we suggest giving this dude message here, and even if you’re not interested—just check out his amazing work that he updates his page daily with.

Speaking of the NES and ways to be creative with it, I’m sure a lot of you may or may not know, but aside from the various continental libraries of the NES, there were a LOT of games we didn’t get, or some that weren’t even released for some odd reason. If you’ve ever had a hankering for playing Adventure Island 4 or the actual Earthbound that we were meant to receive first instead of receiving a rebranded Mother 2 (Not that we’re complaining folks, just saying) then check out NES Reproductions. Dude will professionally reproduce the game and recreate it to look like it was released on a commercial North American Nintendo Cartridge, all for a small fee and the specified donor cart in question. The prcies are fair and the work is excellent, if you’re looking to get in on some Mr. Gimmick or Final Fantasy II then we highly recommend you pursue these services!

I know this post has a pretty heavy modification theme going but we couldn’t help but include this next piece of work, this guy built a console that supports 18 proprietary video game consoles with one Unit, one universal power supply, and one master controller—it’s aptly titled Project Unity, and it’s fucking bonkers. The unit isn’t an emulator, it’s a mass construct that plays all the physical formats of it’s house consoles in various areas, lead modder/industrialist Bacman details every nook and cranny of his design and concept in this video along with the finish product. We’re not into clone consoles but we can’t help but shout “OH MAN, LOOK AT ALL THE ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES HE MUST HAVE NOW!”

Shaun Rykiss and Trevor Lareau came together and had a direction towards how they envisioned Bioshock’s Rapture and proceeded to bring it to film, this trailer is fruit of the vision and it already looks magnificent. Titled The Borther’s Rapture, it stars the two struggling artists who travel to Rapture before its collapse in hopes of finding in an opportunity or muse to further their artistic vision and wind up getting involved with Plasmids. The trailer showcases beautiful visual design and impressive effects, setting the stage up nicely for what we’ll all expect when the finished film debuts on the 13^th of this month, look out for it!

Andrew will penning our review for it shortly, and while you’re waiting to see if it’s any good, MikeDiva of YouTube fame decided to promote Farcry 3 Blood Dragon through this ridiculously authentic looking faux movie trailer. There’s so many eighties soaked references to the actual game in this VHS quality trailer that you can’t help but laugh and admire the effort, it’s definitely worth a play.
