QCF: ARC Squardon

The future of handheld entertainment is a hotly debated one. Nintendo's 3DS gives gamers on the go a portable 3D entertainment center that not only plays games in surprisingly clear 3D, but also allows for relatively speedy online play, internet browsing and even Netflix from a WiFi hotspot. Sony's PlayStation Vita sports some surprisingly high fidelity, handily running games very similar in scope to the PS3.

QCF: Rainbow Moon

Rainbow Moon is a strategy RPG exclusive to Sony’s Playstation Network. The game was developed by SideQuest Studios and published through EastAsiaSoft in July, 2012 for both European and North American territories. QCF: Offspring Fling!

Offspring Fling is a nice blend of puzzle/platform, and the rules are simple enough. As the momma, your job is to get the babies to the door safely. The offspring can be carried (even stacked up) or flung in a straight line. The stage layout and placement of puzzle elements are the barrier to your success. QCF: Shoot Many Robots

The Xbox Live Arcade title Shoot Many Robots, like its title is simple and to the point. Demiurge Studios waste no time or energy trying to be a game with a deep and meaningful story, or complex characters. Your objective and goal through the game is to shoot robots, and do so in style. Run-n-gun games are not nearly as popular as they once were when Metal Slug reigned supreme, however I feel that Shoot Many Robots takes that formula and expands on it with loot and customizable gear that reminds me of a side scrolling, alcohol-fueled version of Borderlands. In doing so it creates a cooperative experience that will challenge and entertain players as bullets and robots pile up around them.

QCF: Dead Island

Thanks once again to James Wells for reviewing Dead Island for the Xbox 360.

Ever since the now world famous trailer for Dead Island came from nowhere earlier this year, many gamers looked forward to this game with much skepticism and doubt on whether or not it could match the emotional levity of its trailer. I've seen the trailer, you’ve seen the trailer, and most likely Mrs. Heffernon, your neighbor with fourteen cats, has also seen the trailer. So does Dead Island live up to the hype? Or does this undead nightmare just shamble along the beach into obscurity?
