oylent Green is people, or some shit like that—there we just saved you an hour and thirty-seven minutes, or did we? We may have just pulled a super dick-move, all for just lazy comedy bit, and you’re probably super mad at us right now (assuming that you lived under a rock, and haven’t the seen one of Charlton Heston’s finest performances of course.)

This is the current climate of things, and no media is immune to the tyranny of spoiler culture, be they video game, film, or book, the nuances and charm that comes from the investment that we put into these cherished pieces of content can be ruined in an instant by the inconsiderate actions of a complete stranger.

We think that’s bogus; join Andrew, Ser, and George as they tackle the talking points that deal with Spoiler Culture, and why it’s gradually becoming more and more prevalent in the media spaces we keep. In addition to that, we talk about Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee edition, Street Fighter V Season 3, Bosskey Production’s Closure, Kenny Omega, getting a haircut, Apple being stingy with Valve, Ikaruga, God of War, the usual shit talk on the Ouya, and more. Smash that link, and get in on this episode before someone else spoils the sweet fart joke that Ser makes at the 45-minute mark!

Evo 2016: Capcom Street Fighter V Panel

reetings everyone from the Evo World Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada. After a full day of traveling and settling into our hotel the day begins for PPR on Friday at 10:00am during the Capcom panel to discuss all the new content coming to Street Fighter V. To be honest though, it seems like not much was announced at an event that seems to be centrally focused around Street Fighter.

PPR Presents Play Play: Killer Instinct-Season 3

he torch has been passed once again, and now it would appear that Iron Galaxy will carry on the support and development to the latest episodic entry into Microsoft’s exclusive modern fighting franchise with Killer Instinct Season 3—and thankfully enough, it’s just as exciting, if not even more enjoyable than ever before.

And honestly, how could you not freak out about a game where you can play as a Battletoad that gets to up on the Anti-hero from Halo 2; shit’s dope y’all.

Andrew and George hash out their thoughts on this new edition of KI, the state of the Fighting Game scene; including how badly they wanted to like Street Fighter V more than they actually did, and more in this latest Play Play from Press Pause Radio.

QCF: Street Fighter V

hen Street Fighter IV was initially released, it far exceeded all expectations among its casual and hardcore fans—and even then, it didn’t last long before Capcom squandered a majority of that good will, with some ill-advised decisions towards the direction of the entry, and it’s content.

Decisions that have prompted the brand to take a different path with the fifth entry, a path that will better speak to the modern sensibilities of content expansion for games today.

Sadly though, Capcom screwed the pooch right out of the gate on this one, and the results make for a solid core game, that’s trapped within a lazy framework that does very little to drive the engagement factor of that core—something that feels oddly unfinished, and rushed.

ebruary can be many things; the home of Valentine’s Day, named after the saint who loved birds, and hated Pagans—or it’s the month that precedes one of the more eventful game release schedules of the year, your pick.

We here at PPR however, have decided to riff off the theme of love from Valentine’s instead, and talk about the aspect of sharing the experience of playing video games with your significant other, and what games we think would be ideal for that sort of social union.

It’s Personal Pause Radio up in here, and it’s a fun episode; we also talk at length about Arby’s, Street Fighter V, Lupe Fiasco, Unravel, Pocket Mortys, Umihara Kawase Trilogy, Gravity Rush Remastered, Project X Zone, Kanye West, and more.
