On this week's episode we will be discussing moral choices in video games, and the popularity of such games as Fallout and Fable. On Halloween Day, we at Press Pause Radio recorded a massive Zombiecast which is now available for all to hear. The normal cast welcomes special guest Daeruna to discuss current events in the gaming industry as well as some twitter fighting and resignations.  Toast harnesses the energy of Ryu before reviewing the recent Left 4 Dead 2 DLC,  "The Sacrifice".

Toast then is attacked by an incoming zombie hoard, while the remaining cast runs for safety. From there they explain the history of zombies not only in video games but in writing and cinema as well. It seem like everything nowadays has zombies, and Press Pause Radio is no different. Go to the forums or respond on the Facebook, Destructoid and Twitter pages about this week's episode. Press Pause Radio returns not only with a new and improved website, but a new episode as well. Episode 30 is all about "RPG elements". We are sure that all our listeners have heard that phrase numerous times in the last few years, but what does it really mean? The crew will discuss the numerous titles in this generation that borrow heavily for traditional role playing games, and why it seems to be so well received. Staying in line with our featured topic, George also will be reviewing Popful Mail for the Sega CD, along with revealing some of our plans for the website and show. Reviews on iTunes and Zune are very helpful to us, and also can net you some great prizes in our current giveaway going on right now.  So get out there and give us some stars and reviews, you may be our lucky winner!

We are a week early on this episode of Press Pause Radio and for very good reason. Episode 29 is a star-studded event that is so huge, it could barely be contained in our bi weekly schedule. We welcome special guests Drew Zimmerman of the now defunct Pixel Dreams podcast, Steve Black Jr. of The Pokémon Podcast and Ray Barnholt of 1up.com, as well as the Retronauts and Sound Test podcast.  We at Press Pause Radio are truly humbled to have such great guests, and it was truly a pleasure to record with them all.

On this week's episode we will discuss more news from the Tokyo Game show and current events, Serraxor has a review of SaGa 2: Hihou Densetsu- Goddess of Destiny for the Nintendo DS and we hear from the listeners in a segment we like to call Select Feedback. The featured topic is all about the resurgence of retro or old-school games. It's safe to say that classic games from our past are not only popular once again, but have ignited a new trend in gaming. Our guests weigh in on the "neo-retro" craze and discuss why it has become such a success. As always feedback via our iTunes page or through our voicemail is greatly appreciated. Thanks once again to our guests for making this show a great success.

Games Club: Limbo

Today's podcast is quite different from our previous episodes. On this inaugural episode of the Press Pause Radio Games Club, we are discussing the Xbox Live Arcade title Limbo. This dark and moody puzzle/platformer has received rave reviews, and was featured in Xbox's annual Summer of Arcade promotion. The crew will discuss the entire game, so please be aware of this if you have not played or beaten the game. We are hoping that Game Club will be a regular feature and podcast on the show, feel free to voice your opinions and comments on this and future Games Club titles on our forums or through our twitter feed.

Press Pause Radio takes a break from browsing online for "sex turtles" to record the newest episode of the podcast. On this week's show Georgieboy, Toast and special host Noel welcome the talented Mr. Bill Mudron to discuss video games, love and life. You may know Bill's work from such publications as Electronic Gaming Monthly and Penthouse Magazine. His website showcases just some of the fantastic art he has created, with more on the horizon.  We have a lengthy discussion on Scott Pilgrim, with possible spoilers of the movie and comic. If you have not yet seen the movie, you can skip from 10:20 into the podcast to about 27:20 to avoid any detailed discussions. We also discuss Bioshock Infinite and Georgieboy reviews Wonder Project J: Kikai no Shōnen Pīno for the Super Famicom.

Our featured topic is about being a "gamer" in social circles and environments that may not play video games. Does being labeled a fan of video games still carry a negative connotation? Or do we live in a society that now embraces video games and all that video games have inspired? We discuss this question and much more on this week's episode. Special thanks once again to Bill Mudron for taking time to be a guest on the show. Contact our voicemail at 209-566-0190 with any questions or comments, and follow us on Twitter for any updates on the show.
