Bullet Heaven #238 - 70's Robot Anime Geppy-X (PSX)

In all of shooting games, there's no other game out there that delivers the authentic 70's anime experience like Geppy-X does. This obscure Japan-only horizontal scrolling shooter from Aroma is gauranteed to be unlike any shooting game players have ever experienced before or since. But, HOW does it do this? Why 4 discs!? And just how does it stack up??

In the Credits:
Bullet Heaven 236: Rym 9000
Bullet Heaven CCXXXVII Einhander Taikenban
Bullet Heaven 237: Stahlfeder

Bullet Heaven #237 - Stahlfeder (PSX)

Stahlfeder: Tekkou Hikuudan is a game that doesn't exactly come up often. It's pretty uncommon from a very obscure developer and publisher and it was only released in Japan... and it has a really neat cover. We dig it. But what about the game? Let's take a closer look!

Bullet Heaven #224 - Battle City (FC)

We finally acquired one of our very favourite games from our childhood and the last early famicom game we were missing that we played frequently on our 31-in-1 converted Famicom cartridge! The game? Battle City. Its significance? Enourmous. Still as good? Worth the wait? Let's see how it stacks up.

PPR Presents Play Play: Hudson Selection Vol. 3: PC Genjin

his is the fourth day of our special look at the Bonk Series! We’ll be covering 10 of the bulbous-headed caveman’s titles over the week, and well; we won’t be covering any of them in any specific order either—so deal with it or whatever.

Exclusive to the land of the rising sun, The original title that started it all received a remake on the PlayStation 2 and Gamecube, and boy did Hudson take a lot of weird liberties with the visual style—which is kind of cool, but mostly disturbing.

Eh, it’s still pretty cool, but whether or not that it’s worthy enough to faithfully substitute the charm of the original is up for debate, and dammit, do we do just that! Why don’t you guys just go on ahead and click play now to check it out!

Mail us at our new email Mailbag@presspauseradio.com, leave a voicemail at 469-PPR-TALK, and be sure to stop by at our Forums if you haven’t already registered and post your thoughts about the show. Finally, make sure to rate and subscribe to us on iTunes and YouTube, follow us on Twitch page and Twitter, and finally take part in our Facebook and Steam group!

PPR 78

ey guys, remember when we all played that sweet RPG on the Super Nintendo Bahumat Lagoon? No? What about Seiken Densetsu 3, you guys had to have played that right? Gyakuten Kenji 2? Everyone is killing me! Oh, wait, what’s that? You say that none of those games ever came out to North America; yeah, we know that, that’s why there’s the wonderful culture of import gaming. The charming Stevie, cynical James, pugnacious Ser, and scumbag Georgie bring you the latest PPR and this week, they talk about some video games y’all. Topics range from sharing our respects towards Hiroshi Yamauchi and Nintendo’s sordid past with love hotels, the price difference of Zebra bed sheets versus Tiger bed sheets, Super Mario Bros: The Movie 2: the comic, Sega buying Atlus, and so much more in this shit storm of a podcast.

Rate and subscribe to us iTunes today, follow us on our new Twitch page, mail us at our new email Mailbag@presspauseradio.com, and be sure to stop by at our Forums and register as well!

Region-free games are just great; when a company makes its games accessable to anyone in the world that would like to play it, it's always a great thing. Speaking of great things.....
