PPR Presents Play Play: PAC-MAN 256

hether it’s some bratty millennial, or a crotchety-ass geriatric, there are a few things within pop culture that these two wildly different demographics will often times share knowledge of—they’re both aware of a particular yellow humanoid sphere with an insatiable appetite.

PAC-MAN has been a staple in video games since it first hit the arcades all those years ago, and if the new title from Hipster Whale, PAC-MAN 256, is any indication of the famous circle’s current status-quo, then he’s rest assured to continue as a staple into the future of gaming.

Ser and Georgie whip out their smartphones, and show off the new title, and it’s modernized spin on a very familiar formula, and talk about why it’s one of the coolest surprises to come out of 2015.

PPR Presents Play Play: Heroki

emember when Sega had a full supply of wacky and zany characters at their disposal, and they would be mascots to a bunch of wild, and creative new gameplay mechanics and systems that you didn’t see anywhere else?

I mean, that’s not to say that every single one of them were good per say, but hey, they were different, and the latest title they’ve published for the iOS store definitely brings back some shades of that old Sega.

Join Georgie and Stevie as they spin, float, and jettison their way through the colorful world of Heroki; an adorably deformed good guy who put his sense of justice to work, all by using his goofy-ass helicopter head—check it out!

PPR Presents Play Play: Bonk's Return

his is the third day of our special look at the Bonk Series! We’ll be covering 10 of the bulbous-headed caveman’s titles over the week, and well; we won’t be covering any of them in any specific order either—so deal with it or whatever.

As strange as this may sound, this is the most recent entry into the stone-age hero's dynasty of games was java-built mobile title called Bonk’s Return; we're talking Motorola RAZR status here. With some finangling on our end, we bring to you that title for your viewing pleasure, and well, we don’t know how to feel about it, and if anything, it made us really scratch our heads over how bizarre the mobile climate of games must have been during that dark, sad time.

PPR Presents Play Play: Infintiy Blade

henever I am told that mobile games aren’t real games, I get a sweet satisfaction out of proving them wrong with a particular gem that still holds very true to that stance to this very day.

From out of the Undertow, and through the complex of shadows, Chair Entertainment’s Infinity Blade, the series that would gradually become one of the most cherished franchises to grace the iOS app store—and we’re going to play it for you all here for this latest edition of Play Play from PPR.

QCF: Ridiculous Fishing

lambeer sure seems to have its collective stuff together. Super Crate Box is pretty boss, Luftrausers is shaping up to be one of my favourite games ever, and they recently released one of the more addictive games to show up on the iOS app store: A little thing called Ridiculous Fishing, a sequel to Vlambeer's own previously released free-to-play flash game, Radical Fishing.
